Media Interviews – Just how confident are you?

When it comes to speaking to journalists, if you haven’t had any media training recently, be cautious. No one wants to be tripped up during a media interview, so don’t proceed unless you’re well prepared.

It’s important to know how the media works, and what makes a good news story, but that is only the start. Knowing what your key messages are and how to communicate them in away that will inspire a journalist and show your organisation in the best light is a skill that can only be learnt through practice.

Journalists will come up with unexpected and tricky questions, which can throw a media novice off their stride during an interview. The journalist has the advantage, its their job and they do it every day. It’s our job to empower you with the ability to handle all types of media interviews with confidence, credibility and skill.

If you’d like a taster you can also book on one of our free lunchtime webinars, covering everything from crisis management to proactive PR.

Do get in touch if you have any media issues you would like to chat through or if you would like to discuss a tailored media training programme for your organisation.
