This is a one-day Media Workshop-with the emphasis being on Proactive PR skills, Press Release writing, holding statements, Q&A briefing documents and handling press interviews.

This includes crisis communications training as well as key message skills.

This tailored Workshop will cover the following subjects in both a theoretical and practical way:

• The principles of PR
• Being proactive - and how PR can help achieve this
• PR tools - handling media enquiries to writing press statements
• Press Release writing skills - including a practical exercise
• Media Training for Press interviews - including a practical exercise in handling an enquiry from a print journalist, plus two press interviews per participant

These press interviews will be realistic, conducted by a real life journalist and will deal with issues directly relevant to you.

While focusing on being proactive, we will also cover corporate Crisis Management skills to handle crises when they occur.

This Workshop will address proactivity issues, such as highlighting newsworthy and positive stories which are occurring and writing them up in an eye-catching way.

We cover the whole process of proactivity, from highlighting the idea, writing the press release, making the follow up call to the journalist, to handling the press enquiry and interview.
