Recently, many of our clients have told us that they have been surprised how affordable our Media Training is – especially coming from a former BBC Health Correspondent and a company which specialises in the public sector. We actually discriminate in favour of the regions (i.e. outside London) as we charge the same for a training course in Newcastle as we do on our own doorstep in the capital. Affordability does not mean a drop in quality, either. Please take a look at our website to see the range of NHS Trusts, Strategic Health Authorities and PCTs who are our clients – and their personal testimonies as to the quality of the training they received. Virtually every region in the UK will endorse the work we do within the NHS to empower key spokespeople with the communication skills to manage crises effectively and proactively promote positive, success stories in a more eye-catching way. But coming back to the regions for a moment. Our whole raison d'etre is based on two key lessons, learned the hard way, after twenty years in the communications business: 1. You will not influence the "Daily Mail" agenda – no matter how much media training you get. But you will have a much greater impact on your local paper, local radio station and regional TV station – especially if your media skills are good. 2. We firmly believe in "bottom up" communication rather than "top down". There are plenty of people in high places doing "top down" communication. Where there is a gap in the market is in "bottom up" communication – the need to communicate regionally; region by region, city by city, town by town. That is where we (and you) can make a difference. And we prepare you for just that media interviews with your Regional TV station, BBC Local Radio station and local newspaper. One final thing. We only use BBC trained journalists for all our media training courses. Contact FormKeyword Tags
